Our “Get Pet Help” section is designed to address a wide range of questions and challenges related to everything from finding lost dogs and handling community cats to alternatives to surrendering your pet, how to rehome your pet, addressing behavioral challenges, and more.

To increase your chances of finding your pet, register your lost dogs, cats, and other pets. Learn about Animal Protection Services' 72-hour legal hold policy, how to reclaim your pet, municipality reclaim fees, and how to register a found pet.

Lost/Found Search

Lost and stray pets picked up by City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, or Clark County Animal Protection Services are brought to The Animal Foundation. We also accept stray and lost animals brought in by members of the community. If your pet is lost, we are the most likely place for your pet to be found.

The mission of the Community Cats Program is to control the local cat population with no new litters or kittens. As a result, the homeless cat population will decrease, fewer feral cats will come to the shelter, and more lives will be saved.
